The chart of collaboration was adopted by the members of the Mediterranean Alliance for Wetlands (MAW) in January 2017, and last amended in June 2024.
This document establishes a framework for member participation, emphasizing shared values, governance structure, working relationships, and commitment to the sustainable use of wetlands in the Mediterranean region.
Its objectives, membership, structure and organization are described in the Terms of Reference of the Mediterranean Alliance for Wetlands.
The mission of the Mediterranean Alliance for Wetlands is to increase the capacity of Mediterranean societies to ensure the protection, restoration and sustainable use of wetlands and rivers.
