Vrina marshes 

In June and July, the Green Light project team carried out field missions at Carska Bara in Serbia with the Bird Protection and Study Society of Serbia (BPSSS) and at Vrina Marshes in Albania with the Albanian Ornithological Society (AOS). These field missions enabled an initial assessment with restoration experts, workshops to define the project’s vision, mission, and objectives, and meetings with key stakeholders, including local authorities, conservation NGOs, land managers, and community representatives.

The first landscape architect designs will be shared soon, alongside the selection of two new sites for 2026. Interested in joining the next phase? Contact us.
