Costas Kaloudis, former executive director of the Ionian Environment Foundation and Xenia Tombrou, communications officer for the “Save Erimitis” campaign are working to protect the wetlands of Erimitis. The “Save Erimitis” campaign aims to protect the wetlands of Corfu (Greece) from the tourist development of the “Kassiopi Project”, which foresees the construction of villas and roads that would destroy the still intact wetlands on which the local populations and species depend.
